Appalachian Trail - NC

During our stay in Hot Springs, NC

We were able to explore just a tiny little bit of the Appalachian Trail!

The beautiful French Broad River behind me!
It was very very cold!

But before I was there...
I was here~

The Appalachian Trail or AT as they call it goes
right through the town of Hot Springs.

So you cross this bridge to get beyond the river.

This is the symbol through out the town
that guides those on the trail.

Crossing the bridge~

Another AT sign on the road.

Rock detail

Such a large river!

This is another symbol that hikers see to know they are on the trail.

Other river views~

Me at a white mark,
certainly does not mean very much to me on this short hike.

I must say I enjoy my short hikes right now,
but I can appreciate the hikers that reach these white marks
and feel such accomplishment!

It says "Keep Steppin"

Hot Springs, North Carolina

A family trip to
Hot Springs
North Carolina

Enjoy some pictures of our time in a small, but oh so beautiful
NC Town that the French Broad River runt through!

We didn't pull our small camper on this trip
instead...

Our humble abode away from home!
Hot Springs Resort and Spa!

Inside pic - all we needed!
It was great!!

Small cabins from afar.

Next are photos capturing the
majestic and mighty

French Broad River

The bridge that carries you into Hot Springs

Such treasures we found!

Beauty among us
everywhere we turned!

The water rushing was so relaxing

Colors under the water!

Water turning and falling

The rocks obeying the water's command.

Lines of inspiration

A very smooth surface

I found myself wanting to see what was around the bend,
but I knew I would want to see what was around the next other bend
and then the next other bend...

A lovely greenish brown water.
Clear in most spots and the dirt has shimmering flakes in it.

Reminds me of my childhood vacations and tubing down the Davison River.

Show me a tree with moss anyday and I will photograph it!
The repetition, the layers, the patterns and colors!

We had a wonderful trip!
A few more photos will be shard in another blogpost.

The Appalachian Trail goes through the town
and we were able to explore that too!

and fridged water of the French Broad River

LOVE Artwork

LOVE

A word that take on many different meanings, but always comes back to one truth.

A word that never dulls,
never wanes,
never fails.

A word that describes a thousand ways to live.

As I created this artwork,
I found love in so much more...

when I let go
and
simply created.

Love is finding courage in yourself

Love is picking up and pressing on.

Love is patiently waiting for your skills to meet the ideas you dream.

Love lives in between.

Love IS here

It goes with you,

stays with you

on your best and worst days.

Love crosses all paths,

intersects the whole,

and brings everything together.

Love is what is underneath,

our vulnerability,

and it caresses our fears.

It heals the broken.

I proclaim...

Love IS Here!

Love of process, mark making and
the undying need to create something
where there was nothing.

And love there always will be.

Each work of art is my attempt to share love.

It's looking like a LOVE campaign on this artist holiday and I love it,
hannah
