VBS Day 5 - Kingdom Rock

Our final day!

Today's Bible Point-
The Bible helps us stand strong!

Today's craft:

Castle Flags

Some examples created by me and my volunteers!

Materials for today's craft include:

card stock, flag pattern, pipe cleaners, masking tape

3 color pipe cleaners and 1 metallic pipe cleaner twisted together with a loop at the top
were created as the flag pipe pole!

The Flag Template

Here's some of the children's wonderfully decorated
Castle Flags...

One child brought her pink prayer bear back to VBS and wanted him in the photo!
So precious!

This is a craft where the children have a space to draw, write or color
their own thoughts from the week.

The flag pipe poles were a great touch!

For the last day, everyone wore their t-shirts from Day Two and
What a sight that was!

The sanctuary was packed with about 260 children and I don't know how many volunteers
all wearing the t-shirts they colored themselves.
It was surreal and a dream realized.
A wonderful ending for me and all the week's crafts.
Not something I will soon forget...

And better than that was the feeling of sending 168 loved prayer bears and heart pouches
to children living at the Methodist Home for Children.

Our VBS children decorated the heart pouches on Day One
and we packaged them up in 3 bags ready to go!

What a touching week...

finding personal fulfillment by sharing love and creative joy to others on this artist holiday,

  1. A fabulous account of all the wonderful blessings of VBS. Great job, again!!!!

  2. A good time had by all! love the flags. You and VBS are inspirational, the world is good, contrary to what the news has to say. The world has to be a better place from your week of love and goodness.
